Is Microsoft Copilot Suitable for Blog Writing?
I haven't fully used Microsoft Copilot for drafting blogs yet, but I believe it could be very helpful. From what I've seen, Copilot is not just an AI that "searches for answers," but one that helps you "achieve your goals."
This sets it apart from other generative AIs.
Other AIs tend to be "suggestive," while Copilot is "goal-oriented."
For example, ChatGPT and Gemini often respond to questions with suggestions like, "How about this?" or "Here are some other ideas," which broadens the conversation.
While this can spark creativity, it sometimes makes the discussion too broad when working on tasks like blog writing that require focus and completion.
In contrast, Microsoft Copilot closely follows the user's intent.
It avoids unnecessary topic expansion, stays on context, refrains from extra suggestions, and follows instructions directly.
This "business AI" trait is actually an advantage for blog writing.
Why In-Page Editing Works Well for Blog Writing
Copilot offers a feature called "In-Page Editing," which is very useful for blog writing.
It saves content as an independent "page," separate from chat.
The page remains accessible even if the chat ends unexpectedly.
You can open it anytime from the library.
You can edit long texts directly.
It handles texts from 4,000 to 10,000 characters without problems.
What’s especially reassuring is that although there is a limit of 30 edits, anything created with In-Page Editing is saved in the library as Copilot’s output, so you can always reopen it even after closing the chat.
This "peace of mind from saving" is a feature not commonly found in other AIs.
Easy Blog Writing Start from Microsoft Copilot App Home Screen
I also find it convenient that from the Microsoft Copilot app’s home screen, you can select "Library" and create a new draft with the + button. This makes starting blog writing simple and straightforward.
This feature makes it easy to quickly shape blog ideas and efficiently complete writing by combining it with In-Page Editing.
The Advantage of Using Copilot Only on iPhone
I use Microsoft Copilot exclusively on my iPhone, which I think is a major difference from other AIs.
For example, Gemini and ChatGPT do not have the In-Page Editing feature.
Therefore, I believe this is a unique feature only Microsoft Copilot offers.
Having this feature allows you to confidently create and edit long blog drafts.
Differences in Usability Compared to Gemini and ChatGPT
Gemini and ChatGPT do not suddenly shut down after 30 interactions. The chat continues, but it feels like they gradually forget previous context.
On the other hand, Microsoft Copilot may suddenly become unusable, but until then, it maintains 100% performance.
Within that limit, I feel it might actually be easier to use.
Because It Is a Business AI, It Supports Completing Writing
Copilot is designed to integrate with Office and Windows. In other words, it excels at tasks with clear goals such as:
Completing reports
Writing accurate emails
Summarizing meeting minutes
Finishing documents
Blog writing is similar, supporting the entire flow from:
Deciding the theme
Creating the structure
Writing the main text
Revising
Finalizing
Conclusion: Copilot Is Suitable for Blog Writing
This is the conclusion I have reached.
Microsoft Copilot is good at guiding tasks with clear goals to completion. Therefore, it is suitable for blog writing.
Especially when using "In-Page Editing," it can be treated like a blog-specific AI.
Safely save long texts
Edit in progress
Separate from chat
Manage in the library
Accompany you until completion
I believe this way of using it is unique to Copilot as a business AI.
